Last week, our 4th graders had a special visit from Dr. Barrow and Keyla, who gave an engaging presentation on how to take good care of your teeth. Our lobos even received a dental care kit to take home!

Today is School Custodian Appreciation Day! Let's give a big shout-out to the amazing people who keep our school in pristine shape.

Last week, our 4th grade students had a special visit from veterans of our local VFW who shared their knowledge and led a flag demonstration and training. Students learned about the meaning behind our flag, how to handle it with respect, and the importance of honoring traditions. Our 4th-grade students have the responsibility and honor of raising our American and South Dakota flags each day at school.
We are so grateful to our veterans for taking the time to teach and inspire our students!

Our Fun Run was a HUGE success! Not only did we pass our $40,000 goal, but our students had a blast—rain or shine! Thank you to our amazing staff, interns (for bringing Liberty the Lobo to life ), and especially Mrs. Conrad for all her hard work.
We kept the celebration going with a schoolwide assembly where Sra. Toscano's K01, our top fundraising class, earned a popcorn party and extra recess! They raised $5356.30 for our school!
Congratulations to our top three student fundraisers — 1st place- Will Van Den Mark, 2nd place- Ellie Gotham, and 3rd place-Kahalil Tieszen— who each received Amazon gift cards for their amazing efforts.
What an incredible team effort—thank you to our families, staff, and community for making it all possible!

Libros y Lattes = Success! ☕📚
Last week, our amazing staff gathered in the Library for a cozy afternoon of books, beverages, and great conversation.
We showcased the fantastic new collection of books brought back from Guadalajara, Mexico — now part of our Library! Teachers and staff enjoyed sipping lattes, snacking, and browsing through fresh reads to spark curiosity for their classrooms.
A huge thank you to Jennifer Egstad and Audra Klum for organizing this brew-tiful event! Your effort and creativity made it such a special time for our staff.

Guess who stopped by last week?! Lincoln High School athletes (former Sonia Sotomayor students) came back to visit!
They jumped right in during PE, playing games, running around, and having a blast with our students.
Our kids loved seeing these role models in action — and it was so fun to welcome them back where it all started!
