Sonia Sotomayor families,
We have many cooler weather items waiting to be claimed. Please have your student look through the items. You are more than welcome to come in and take a look at any time. Also, friendly reminder to label each individual item your student brings. We do look for names before putting anything in the lost and found.

Celebrating Día de los Muertos!
Every year on November 1st, people in the country of Mexico observe Día de Los Muertos, which is translated as the Day of the Dead and also known as All Saints Day. This is a day for those of Mexican heritage to welcome the souls of their deceased relatives back for a brief reunion. The day is not one of mourning, but instead an opportunity to portray death in a positive light, as a part of the human experience.
¡Feliz Día de los Muertos!

Be prepared for school delays or cancellations caused by winter weather! This chart is an example of how start times would be impacted if SFSD declares a One-Hour Late Start. Review it now... before winter weather is here to stay!

We are having an awesome celebration!!
Celebrating Dìa de los Muertos is like a family reunion, except dead ancestors are the guests of honor. Take a look at our, ofrendas! They are a way to keep the memory of that person alive through the annual tradition of remembering what they loved to do, eat, drink and look like.
