Yesterday, 503 ended the day by celebrating Sant Jordi’s Day, a cherished Catalan tradition that honors love and literature. Each student created and delivered a handmade rose, sharing the story behind this special day — the legend of Saint George and the dragon, and the beautiful tradition of exchanging books and roses. It was a joyful and meaningful way to connect culture, creativity, and kindness. Big thanks to Srta. Triadú for bringing a bit of Catalonia to the pack — we loved it! #SantJordi #CulturalCelebration #lobos

SSE Families- It is (hopefully) safe to say winter weather is over! That being said… our lost and found is full of winter gear (snow pants, boots, etc.) Our Lobos Leaders have been a big help by going through all the items and returning the ones with names. Thanks to them, the lost and found has been tidy. We will be clearing out the lost and found on Friday, April 25th. Please take a look at the lost and found pictures or come into the school to dig around for your student’s items. Everything that is not claimed by the end of the school day on Friday will be donated. You can look at the lost and found pictures here as well. Enjoy the weather!!

Exciting News from the Lobos! We are thrilled to announce that one of our own, Helen Petree, has won the Work Zone Awareness Week Billboard Award! The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), the Associated General Contractors (AGC), and SFC Civil Constructors partner to raise awareness about safety in work zones—ensuring that our roads, highways, and bridges remain safe for both drivers and construction workers. As part of this initiative, they visited Mrs. Moerman’s 4th-grade class to personally congratulate Helen on her incredible achievement! Her winning artwork will be displayed on a billboard along Interstate 90 near mile marker 398, starting April 21st! But that’s not all—Helen also received a mini billboard featuring her artwork and a $25 prize for her win! And to celebrate the classroom’s amazing support, Sra. Moerman was awarded a $100 check to use toward classroom resources. Way to go, Helen! Your creativity and dedication are now inspiring drivers all across South Dakota! #LoboPride #WorkZoneAwareness #HighwaySafety
